Obviously reality is fixed.

By observing nature around us we realize that although changes do occur (mainly seasonal) and mutations do happen (mainly adaptational) reality of time, space and our natural world remains fairly consistent day by day.

Fairly consistent because some man-made and natural forces work to irregulate consistency (ie. global warming, pollution, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc). This happens and continues to happen for the simple reason that mankind wants more.

In fact mankind needs more.

More food production, more living accomodations, more and increasing forms of communication, leisure, art, business, sports, etc. Mankind increases in dissatisfaction even as new mouths to feed appear. Mankind and people in particular are not greedy by nature - simply dissatisfied.

I know these are statements without proof. If you want proof look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself the question, 'Am I fully satisfied?'. Remember the word fully which helps extinguish all rationalizations and justifications.

Since hardly anyone I know can answer yes to that question probably means that - as a generalization and (I believe) axiom - most people have some dissatisfaction. Quantity is not important since dissatisfaction is analagous to the flu bug - even a little means trouble, is contagious and in extreme cases can kill.

Now if everybody is dissatisfied even a little doesn't that explain this present world we live in?

Obviously to be happy or satisfied in a dissatisfied condition one's environment would have to agree with one's dissatisfaction. Why?

Harmony between a person's environment and moods creates a peaceful state for that person. The outside may reflect or harmonize that person's character. People relax more in familiar environments. What is more familiar to you than you?

Similarly mankind desires a familiar environment to relax in. Since dissatifaction is part of his nature his environment continually changes to reflect or harmonize that dissatisfaction as well as other parts of his nature. However reality is fixed!

Well how can reality be fixed and changing at the same time? It isn't!

The only thing that changes to reflect or harmonize with man's dissatisfied nature is his perception of reality. In order to be at ease in his environment mankind projects his nature on his surroundings and fashions his environment accordingly.

In other words rather than trying to change reality mankind layers worlds over reality that reflect and harmonize his dissatisfied nature. Reality remains fairly consistent underneath.

However the worlds we build individually and collectively over reality cannot change the truth. In fact the grind of discontent against reality brings individuals and mankind to a fever pitch. This fever either breaks or the patient dies. The world dies. Mankind dies.

Dissatisfaction. The great killer.

Similarly acknowledging reality provides relief and hope for continuance.
