No matter who we are, or what experience we've had, we are all susceptible to the devil's temptations while here in these bodies. He tempts us in our thought life, through our eyes and ears, and by our physical desires. He tries to keep us worried, and distracted, and spiritually weak. We all go through it. No one following the Lord Jesus, doing what is right in their heart, striving to walk in the Spirit of love toward all men, living by faith and trusting in God, no one has it easy in this life.		We daily do battle against an unseen enemy, often struggling to do the will of God in our hearts, while the devil takes potshots at us, trying his best to confuse and discourage us in our walk with the Lord. He attacks us through friends and family, at work and at home, in the mind and in the body. The Bible says, " .. all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecutlon.'' and " Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (2 Tim 3:12, Mat 5:10)

Below are some simple spiritual techniques, taken from God's Word and practical experience, which are proven effective to help us overcome in the midnight hours.

However, they must be faithfully and patiently practiced to be of any good ..

1) By faith give the Lord Jesus ALL your problems, worries, and burdens.

The Bible says " Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. " and " Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. " (Mat 11:28, 1 Pet 5:7) Then, stand back and watch Him work!

2) Sing praises and confess your faith in Jesus when times are tough because the Lord inhabits the praises of His people (Ps 22:3). See what Paul and Silas did in Acts 16:22-26!

3) Use the power in Jesus name to dispel ALL spiritual oppression. Command the evil to leave in the name of Jesus!

Every believer has the right to exercise their God-given authority in Christ. Jesus paid for it with His own blood.

4) Study the Bible, stay in the Spirit, keep looking up!
