If you want to walk before the Lord
With happiness and peace of mind
Then pay attention to this ode
And figure out its secret code ..

The Spirit of the Lord indwells
The minds and hearts of everyone
Who says that Christ is risen now
That He is Lord the Son of God ..

But that is only at the start
There's more to come along the way
For Jesus knows the path to go
Where godly men can learn to pray ..

For prayer is what we all forget
When we are busy with our days
We think the Lord is always there
A kindly Saviour here to stay ..

But listen to the Word my friends
The Bible speaks a different tone
It says that we should watch and pray
At all times giving thanks to Him ..

' Now why is this? ' you wonder why
' I have salvation in my heart -
What more is there for me to do? '
My friend belief is just the start ..

Salvation is a state of mind
Where you and God are doing fine
His peace transcends the worldly state
His joy is strength in every way ..

' But what about eternal life?
I'm promised to be with Him when
This body leaves its mortal coil
With all the strife and worldly toil .. '

You say these things and think it's fine
To spend your time as you see fit
But Christ in you may not agree
And so your peace and joy may flee ..

' What did I do? ' you say in angst
' I go to church - I pay my tithes
I love my neighbour to the hilt
I keep my house and children fine ..

This is a start and good it's true
To all outside appear like new
But God inside desires a son
What will you give to be as One ..

The Father's Will rings in your mind
His deep commandments move your soul
To stay in touch through constant prayer
And say and do what's waiting there ..

For in our every spoken word
And deed that issues from the heart
We actually are like the Son
As He once spoke the Father's part ..

So don't assume a Christian cloak
Of zealous works not from the heart
And spoken words so fair and kind
But lacking truth from Christ's own mind ..

Our purpose is fulfilled when all
We say and do at every step
Is what the Spirit in us guides
As Christ Himself decides what's best

Some think they are apart from nature
Others say they are a natural part
Science figures to define the reason
Provided always by essential art ..

Ether moves like the ocean's currents
Sweeping through and ensuring change
Every atom that is in this moment
In the next will be swept away ..

Motion - motion like the ocean
Always changing yet the same
The ether muses have a notion
From on high they love to play ..

The breath of God is often distant
Blowing on some foreign shore
We may regard the present system
Disregards the rule of law ..

The law is holy and forever
As is God Himself above
To love each other with good favour
Is the way the oceans flow
