1. Why a man comes to Christ .. How to become a ' spiritually aware ' child of God .. " .. You must be born again " " .. Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God " " That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit " " .. Except a man be born of water and of Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God " 4. A child's relationship to God and His Christ .. " If any man will come after me let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me - for whosoever will save his life shall lose it but whosoever will lose his life for my sake the same shall save it - for what is a man advantaged if he gain the whole world and lose himself or be cast away? And it came to pass that as they went in the way a certain man said to them ' Lord I will follow you wherever you go ' And Jesus said to him ' Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests but the Son of man has not where to lay his head ' And he said to another ' Follow me ' But he said ' Lord suffer me first to go and bury my father ' Jesus said to him ' Let the dead bury their dead but you go and preach the kingdom of God ' And another also said ' Lord I will follow you but let me first bid them farewell that are at home at my house ' And Jesus said to him ' No man having put his hand to the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God ' " He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me " " So likewise whosoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has he cannot be my disciple " 8. What God's children will live on in the world .. " As the living Father has sent me and I live by the Father so he that eats me even he shall live by me " (ie one lives by feeding on His words) " He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I in him " " .. the words that I speak to you they are spirit and they are life " 9. How God's children are cleansed and sanctified .. " Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken to you " " Sanctify them through your truth - your word is truth " 10. How God's children relate to the world .. " .. be not called Teacher for one is your Master even Christ and all you are brethren " " Blessed are you when men shall hate you and when they shall separate you from their company and shall reproach you and cast out your name as evil for the Son of man's sake .. for in the like manner did their fathers to the prophets " " If you were of the world the world would love his own - but because you are not of the world but I have chosen you out of the world therefore the world hates you " 11. The difference between God's children and the children of the world .. " .. every one that does evil hates the light - neither comes to the light lest his deeds should be reproved - but he that does truth comes to the light that his deeds may be made manifest that they are wrought in God " " My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me but you believe not because you are not of my sheep " " He that is of God hears God's words - you therefore hear them not because you are not of God " 12. How God views the world's children .. " .. woe to you that are rich for you have received your consolation " " Woe to you that are full for you shall hunger " " Woe to you that laugh now for you shall mourn and weep " " Woe to you when all men shall speak well of you for so did their fathers to the false prophets " " You are they who justify yourselves before men but God knows your hearts for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God "

" My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me but you believe not because you are not of my sheep "

" He that is of God hears God's words - you therefore hear them not because you are not of God "

12. How God views the world's children ..

" .. woe to you that are rich for you have received your consolation "

" Woe to you that are full for you shall hunger "

" Woe to you when all men shall speak well of you for so did their fathers to the false prophets "

" You are they who justify yourselves before men but God knows your hearts for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God "
