On God's Kingdom
1. Where it is .. " The kingdom of God comes not with observation - neither shall they say ' Lo here! ' or ' Lo there! ' for behold the kingdom of God is within you " 2. How to see it .. " Verily verily I say to you except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God " 3. How to enter God's kingdom .. " Verily verily I say to you except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God " " Verily I say to you except you be converted and become as little children you shall not enter into the kingdom of God " " Not every one that says to me ' Lord Lord ' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that does the will of my Father that is in heaven " " For I say to you that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the lawyers and clergy you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven " 4. Where to enter .. " Enter in at the strait gate - for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be which go in thereat - because stait is the gate and narrow is the way which leads to life and few there be that find it " 5. Who rules in the kingdom of God .. " All power is given to me in heaven and in earth " " Father .. glorify your Son .. You have given him power over all flesh that he should give eternal life to as many as You have given him " 6. What law is followed .. " A new commandment I give to you that you love one another - as I have loved you that you also love one another " 7. How to recognize a citizen .. " By this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you have love one to another " " The wind blows where it wills and you hear the sound of it but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes to - so is every one that is born of the Spirit " 8. The rights of a citizen .. " If you abide in me and my words abide in you you shall ask what you will and it shall be done to you " " Verily I say to you whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven " " Again I say to you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask it shall be done for them of my Father that is in heaven - for where two or three are gathered together in my name there am I in the midst of them " " And these signs shall follow them that believe - in my name shall they cast out devils - they shall speak with new tongues - they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them - they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover " " Verily verily I say to you he that believes on me the works that I do shall he do also and greater works than these shall he do because I go to my Father - and whatsoever you shall ask in my name that will I do that the Father may be glorified in the Son - if you shall ask anything in my name I will do it " 9. The responsibilities of a citizen .. " You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength - this is the first commandment and the second is like namely this - you shall love your neighbour as yourself - there is none other commandment greater than these " " Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature " " Herein is my Father glorified that you bear much fruit - so shall you be my disciples " " Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father that is in heaven " 10. How to attain honour in God's kingdom .. " Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven - but whosoever shall do and teach them the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven " " .. whosoever will be great among you let him be your minister and whosoever will be chief among you let him be your servant even as the Son of man came not to be ministered to but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many " " And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted " 11. What God's kingdom is likened to .. " It is like a grain of mustard seed which when it is sown in the earth is less than all the seeds that be in the earth - but when it is sown it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs and shoots out great branches so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it " " So is the kingdom of God as if a man should cast seed into the ground and should sleep and rise night and day and the seed should spring and grow up he knows not how " " Again the kingdom of heaven is as a merchant man seeking goodly pearls who when he had found one pearl of great price went and sold all that he had and bought it "
