What Jesus Really Said

On God's Love
1. How God shows man His love .. " .. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life " (Ex.) Jesus went to the Mount of Olives and early in the morning he came again to the Temple - and all the people came to him and he sat down and taught them And the clergy and lawyers brought to him a woman taken in adultery - and when they had set her in the midst they said to him ' Master this woman was taken in adultery in the very act - now Moses in the Law commanded us that such should be stoned but what do you say? ' This they said tempting him that they might have to accuse him - but Jesus stooped down and with his finger wrote on the ground as though he heard them not So when they continued asking him he lifted up himself and said to them ' He that is without sin among you let him first cast a stone at her ' and again he stooped down and wrote on the ground And they that heard it - being convicted by their own conscience - went out one by one beginning at the eldest even to the last and Jesus was lft alone and the woman standing in the midst When Jesus lifted up himself and saw none but the woman he said to her ' Woman where are those your accusers? Has no man condemned you? ' She said ' No man Lord ' And Jesus said to her ' Neither do I condemn you - go and sin no more ' (Ex.) And when they were come to the place which is called Calvary there they crucified him and the malefactors - one on the right hand and the other on the left Then said Jesus ' Father forgive them for they know not what they do ' 2. How should man love God .. " If a man love me he will keep my words and my Father will love him and we will come to him and make our abode with him " 3. How men should love each other .. " Greater love has no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends " " And when you stand praying forgive if you have anything against any that your Father also that is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses " " If your brother trespass against you rebuke him and if he repent forgive him - and if he trespass against you seven times in a day and seven times in a day turn again to you saying ' I repent ' you shall forgive him " (Ex.) Then shall the King say to them on his right hand ' Come you blessed of my Father - inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world - for I was ahungered and you gave me meat - I was thirsty and you gave me drink - I was a stranger and you took me in - naked and you clothed me - I was sick and you visited me - I was in prison and you came to me ' Then shall the righteous answer him saying ' Lord when saw we you ahungered and fed you or thirsty and gave you drink? When saw we you a stranger and took you in or naked and clothed you or when saw we you sick or in prison and came to you? ' And the King shall answer and say to them ' Verily I say to you inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these my brethren you have done it to me ' 4. Who loves God and who does God love .. " He that has my commandments and keeps them he it is that loves me - and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father and I will love him and will manifest myself to him "

4. Who loves God and who does God love ..
